Day 2 of #21DaysofPrayerandFasting Always Wandering, Never Lost
I love that famous quote by Tolkien: “Not all those who wander are lost.” I love it so much that I plan to put it on our vintage camper when we’re finished remodeling it.
But why it’s on my mind today is because I’ve felt a bit lost this past week. I tend to over-analyze things, which can make big life decisions incredibly difficult. We have a few decisions to make in the coming months about where we’re going and where we truly want to be. I’m unsure what the right choice is, and I’m wise enough to know that sometimes I don’t even know what I want. I can go a million different directions because my tendency is to gravitate toward a life of wandering and exploration. I love the adventure of something new.
God revealed to me yesterday that even though I wander and sometimes feel lost, I’m never outside of His loving sight, and His hands are constant hedges of protection around my life. And yours!
Thank you, Lord. In this day and the days ahead, I will lean into you, knowing that you are my refuge, my comforter, and my good, good Father.
Are you in a season with moments of feeling lost? One day at a time, decide to put the unknown away as an act of trust, obedience, and surrender.
